2. Walkman (1979)
Since everyone didn’t have the strength to lug around a boombox all the time or take a beating on their eardrums for that matter, a smaller device was bound to hit the market. That’s when the Sony Walkman came in. Mainly revolutionary for its ability to provide personal listening sessions with lightweight handling, the Walkman soon became a worldwide success and an original in the lane of music listening on the go. Back in the days when cassette tapes were the only platform for listing to your favorite album outside the crib, it wasn’t really possible without a Walkman by your side.
