6. Zune (2006)
As there was a rise in popularity of Apple’s revolutionary iPod music player, the competition was sure to rise. Microsoft was one of the first companies to even come close to being a suitable rival. In 2006, the Zune was presented to the market and survived for a respectable amount of time. One of the few features that the Zune offered that surprisingly wasn’t on the iPod was the ability to stream live AM/FM radio from your device without having to install a third party app. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to size up to the iPod, and the Zune was discontinued in 2011.
