The Pigeons and Planes SXSW Show Will Be Poppin’
It seems like the music festival scene is a bit saturated. There’s a new one popping up every other month, and festivals that once had small, indie scenes have blown up into some of the biggest music events of the year.
I’m not complaining, though. As a music lover, why wouldn’t I want to hear my favorite artists in a public space as much as humanly possible? It only makes the spring and summer seasons that much more exciting. Note to winter: Although your streetwear is certified fire, we’re over you. Go away!
SXSW is always the first major festival to remind us spring’s coming. Beginning in mid March, SXSW becomes the epicenter of culture every year. People from all over the world pack their flyest gear and flock to Austin, Texas for great food, movies, and of course, music. This year’s festival features some of today’s biggest artists, and our friends over at Pigeons and Planes may have the best lineup on deck. In collaboration with Hype Machine, Pigeons and Planes is hosting a show at the Hype Hotel on Saturday, March 21.
Keeping with Pigeons and Planes musical diversity, this show features artists from a bunch of different genres. Artists like Earl Sweatshirt, Ryan Hemsworth, Tei Shi, GoldLink, Mick Jenkins, and Tove Styrke will all be performing. Considering the show is free (all you have to do is RSVP), I suggest you get on this list ASAP. No reason to miss one of SXSW’s most popping events because you didn’t send an e-mail, fam.
