2. Sideway: New York (Playbrains/PS3)
To quote Wired: “This game is absolutely gorgeous, with some really interesting art direction and the kind of dimensional depth that rivals any big-budgeted production.” No lie. Sideway: New York does a solid job recreating the Big Apple, placing a great amount of detail into the diverse cityscape and urban decorative of the concrete jungle. The premise revolves around gamers constantly changing their point of view to artistically manipulate the virtual world. Stunning visuals highlighted by eccentric character designs, fluid movement, and graffiti imagery is what captures the b-boy essence of New York City.
