Scarface- The Diary
Old school rap fans remember Scarface’s beginnings as a part of the Geto Boys before he chose to pursue his solo career. On 1994’s The Diary, his hardcore style placed fear in the hearts of listeners and foes, a sure inspiration for Freddie Gibbs, who featured Scarface on Piñata this year. Considered a legend down South, he has come to receive respect from other regions thanks to later universal albums such as The Fix. If the recent rumor that he’ll be working with Nas on a joint album holds any weight, Scarface’s villainous legacy will continue to shine on.
