Late 1960s/1970s: Hippies
Style Icons: Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon
Who could forget the era of free love? Known for their vivid colors and bohemian lifestyle, hippies took over by the end of the 1960s and well into the 1970s. Jimi Hendrix was the king of that lifestyle from his bandanas and colorful blazers to his pattern-heavy guitar straps. While Hendrix represented the vibrant side of hippie culture, John Lennon went at from a chill and free-flowing perspective. The shaggy hair and those iconic pair of round lens glasses pretty much speak for themselves.
