6. Hip-Hop Album Covers
Steadily gaining popularity, KAWS attracted the attention of hip-hop artists Kanye West and Clipse. For Yeezy, he designed the deluxe album cover of 808s and Heartbreak by adding his cartoon gloves to hold the original deflated heart balloon photo on the cover as well as adding a panel of colors to the side. He also provided some interior album art for the release. Given that KAWS also listened to Clipse on the regular, it was a no-brainer for him to create a series of single covers for the rap duo. He also put his touch onto the cover of their third full-length album, Til the Casket Drops, in a simple design with geometric shapes and Xs on the Clipse logo.
