Coolest Film: The Dark Knight
Nobody has changed our perspective of superheroes quite like Christopher Nolan. With Batman Begins, he introduced us to Bruce Wayne like we had never seen him before: gritty, less animated, and way more human. We didn’t realize until the follow up sequels — The Dark Knight in 2008 and The Dark Knight Rises in 2012 — that Nolan was not only adding to the Batman franchise, but also creating his own world with the iconic crusader that will be hard for future directors attempting adaptations to come close to touching. In addition to his psychological “sleeper” hit Inception, Christopher Nolan is hands-down a living legend in the modern film era.
