So far, we've focused primarily on classic rock and funk, but it's not like there hasn't been a single great bass player since 1976. To bring us up to speed a bit, allow us to introduce Chris Wolstenholme. Unless, you know, you're one of the hundreds of thousands of people who already know Chris, in which case this is old news.
As the bassist for Muse, literally one of the most popular new rock bands on the planet with multiple Grammy nominations and millions of records sold, Wolstenholme has received his share of acclaim. Outside of the legions of screaming fans, though, ask any true bass heads who the best young players in music are, and his name will come up time and time again. Don’t take our word for it, though. Just go ahead and listen to the bassline on "Uprising," "Resistance," or really any Muse song, and we bet you’ll be convinced.
