Green Label Live: Austin SXSW Recap
Wednesday was our Green Label Live SXSW Showcase, and if you weren’t there you’re going to wish you were.
We had an awesome event chock full of performances from Leaf, MNDR & Sweet Valley, KOOL A.D., TWO-9, Remy Banks, Green Label Sound: Open Call winner Kelechi, and Joey Badass to keep the raucous crowd going.
In addition we were also graced with the talents of Nick Catchdubs, Brenmar, Chuck Inglish, and last but not least A-Trak on the decks, whose set featured a surprise performance from the stars of the viral Superbowl commercial we shared with you a few weeks back.
Folks were also able to check out the new trailer for the upcoming skate film We Are Blood, the world’s biggest-ever skate film which documents the everlasting bond created through the love of skateboarding. The trailer--which gave us goosebumps--was followed by a Q&A between Ty Evans, P-Rod, hosted by Kevin Duffel of the Berrics.
Once that was over, we had the Dew VR Snow Experience set up for intrigued visitors to check out (you can read more about that here) and the Pintrill Trading Post was also a huge success, with people from all over looking to scoop and swap some ultra-rare accessories. If you haven’t hopped on your board and surfed the pin wave then get ready because it’s coming. (Look out for that video to come soon).
Speaking of videos, in the Airstream out back we played endless games of Eat Your Greens, with A-Trak versus Joey Badass, Desus and Mero, P-Rod, Chris Colbourn, Jordan Maxham, Remy and Chynna, and more, which will be making its way into a supercut soon.
This year at SXSW we brought the house down, but evidently we had to build a pretty dope one in order for that to happen. You may have heard about it, read the tweets, and peeped the ‘grams but for now you can live vicariously by checking out the gallery and our shots from the event.
Thanks, Austin! Until next year!
