Irony Creates World’s First UV Street Art
Though Irony’s identity remains a mystery, the street artist’s vivid portraits of larger-than-life animals and characters have been spotted all over London.
Most recently, the artist unveiled the world’s first UV street art piece, titled Alice Through the Looking Glass.
The mural sees an oversized young girl (an obvious allusion to Alice in Wonderland) seemingly trapped inside the brick wall’s boundaries. She’s backgrounded by storybook-like calligraphy from graffiti artist Frank Styles.
The UV effect was achieved through black light paint, which was applied to highlights.
Alice Through the Looking Glass is part of The Cultural Spring, an art exhibition hosted and curated by Garry Hunter.
