One Night Only: James Hartley’s “Everything Has Led Me To Here”
On February 13 Ed Varie will showcase Everything Has Led Me To Here, a zine launch and photo show by photographer James Hartley.
Hartley is a 28-year-old photographer who got his start after picking up a camera at age 19 in Australia. From there, he started getting offers to tour with bands, and that's when his career really took off. He started touring with metal and hardcore bands around the world and quickly became known for stunning black and white images of musicians. Now he continues to travel capturing punk rockers, as well as fashion models for magazines.
Everything Has Led Me To Here promises “A collection of summer vibes, wild adventures, and good friends” and hopes to serve as a reminder that this frigid winter will eventually break, leading us to “warm and chaotic summers of our own.”
The zine launching in tandem with the photo show was designed by Tyrone Orsmby, and consists of 40 full-color pages. There are only 100 copies of the limited edition zine, which will be accompanied by a C-Print installation, as well as B-sides and outtakes.
Everything Has Led Me To Here is a one-night-only event. It will take place on Friday February 13, from 7-9PM at 618 East 9th Street New York, NY.
