Kendrick Lamar X Reebok brings Bloods and Crips together
Kendrick Lamar is a true artist. His latest album, To Pimp a Butterfly, is a reflection of his life to date, touching on subjects such as the price of fame, social status, and his upbringing in Compton, a city notorious for its gang violence. In a mission to unite rival gangs (Bloods and Crips), Kendrick Lamar and Reebok put out these limited-edition Reebok Ventilators.
The sneakers sport an off-white suede material through out the upper, with speckled accents of blue and red on the laces and heels. The outside of the tongue features Kendrick’s signature and TDE logo, and on the inside is the word “neutral,” representing unity amongst both gangs. The gum bottom gives the shoes a nice finish with a classic Reebok look. Have to give K. Dot props on this one for not only making a dope shoe, but also one with a message of peace.
