New York Sunshine Slam Dunks It In Miami

My New York Sunshine t-shirt, received this time last year, is so well worn it actually probably isn’t wearable outside the house anymore. Which is to say: I was already a fan of NYS when I went to check out their installation in Wynwood yesterday, at the same gallery that they took over last year, which was based around co-founder John Margaritis’s completely insane idea to place a basketball backboard in the middle of the ocean (so insane it worked).

This year, the extra-handy designer (he’s a carpenter, too) went even bigger, with roughly 100 feet of truly “wavy” shelving, shipped down from New York, upon which were displayed over 300+ t-shirts dyed in ever-deepening shades of blue.

Same as last year, there was a badass SHARKTOOF mural out the front, this time in color, and a lifeguard chair that doubled as a basketball backboard. Never stop shining.
