Paper and Plastic Cup Murals by Lisa Hoke
Artist Lisa Hoke uses disposable items to make colorful, large-scale collages on walls. She often uses paper and plastic cups for her work as well as flattened cereal boxes and candy wrappers to create multiple layers of color for her collage murals. Her work makes a statement about how one man's trash is another man's treasure as she uses discarded consumer products to create her vibrant pieces of art. The New York-based artist has two exhibits you can see at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art until April 13, 2014 and at the Sarasota Museum of Art starting in January 2014.
