Here’s What Went Down at the Green Label x Pintrill Pin Trading Post at SXSW
In the midst of this year’s SXSW festivities, we linked up with Pintrill to set up an epic Pin Trading Post in downtown Austin, presenting thousands of vintage pieces, a line of exclusive Green Label x Pintrill pins, and some 3D-printed custom creations from Rocket Science Creative Labs.
In the video above, co-founder Jordan Roschwalb gives us the low-down on his accessory brand, chronicling the genesis of Pintrill and the come-up of modern pin culture.
We then head over to the Trading Post, where some enthusiastic pin collectors, including Two-9’s DJ Osh Kosh, stopped by to trade some of their rarest gems.
Roschwalb has been collecting and obsessing over pins since his childhood days, and today, Pintrill offers a massive collection of pop culture-inspired pieces to dress up any jacket, backpack, or shirt pocket.
The brand has collaborated with major retailers like Nordstrom and Puma, as well as esteemed contemporary artists like Naturel and musicians like Theophilus London.
Founded in Brooklyn, all of Pintrill’s products are made from metal-coated zinc and are crafted with the same traditional styles that have been used for decades. However, they stay relevant with modern-day pop culture references. Some of his most recent designs include a 2015 Kanye pack (featuring illustrations of ‘Ye’s head and the Adidas Yeezy Boost), gold-plated emojis, and lyrics from today’s biggest rap songs.
The Green Label x Pintrill collection presents a lineup of Dew- and skate-inspired designs.
